For Immediate Release

January 27, 2010 – (Woonsocket, RI) - The Plastics Group of America (TPG), a leading supplier and compounder of thermoplastic resins based in Woonsocket, RI, is celebrating its 37th anniversary in business this month. In these trying economic times, the company's continued growth remains a testament to the exceptional quality of its products and the vision of its management team.

When Bob Lebeaux started the company in 1973, he was a one-man operation that focused simply on buying and reselling plastic scrap. While others in the industry have struggled, under Bob's direction, The Plastics Group is now a state-of-the-art, ISO-registered plastics company with 30+ employees and a production facility located in Rhode Island. For over thirty-five years, Bob and his company have continued to grow and evolve, enabling them to successfully meet every challenge they've faced in the rapidly changing plastics industry.

Bob attributes the company's continued success to a strong commitment to customer service. "Our corporate philosophy at the Plastics Group is that we are in a partnership with our customers - simply stated - their success is our success. This has been our approach since day one, and it continues to define our efforts today. By communicating with our customers on a regular basis, we receive crucial input which enables us to continually implement product and program improvements. From the quality of our products to the flexibility of our manufacturing capabilities to timeliness of our delivery, we are always working to exceed our customer's expectations.

Executive Vice President, Michael Rosenthal, added "The Plastics Group has been an ISO Certified company since 1996 - the stringent quality systems that we have in place enable us to continually supply our customers with exceptional products at competitive prices."

Another area where The Plastics Group has extended its reach to its customer base is through its web site. Its site offers visitors a detailed look at its corporate products and people as well as providing them with an invaluable resource for industry information. Bob added "we have also started to get more heavily involved with social networking as a form of customer outreach. We've added a company blog to reflect our thoughts on industry topics and we've developed quite a following on Tweeter that enjoys hearing the latest news from the company. We view the interactive avenue as a perfect vehicle to enhance the customer service we provide."

Mike added, "staying in touch with and keeping our customers satisfied is now more important than ever. Competition is fierce, and we have been fortunate to be able to maintain our level of business this past year even as the economy struggled. I see this as a reflection of our customer's comfort level when doing business with us. They know how hard we work on their behalf, both to fulfill existing needs and to anticipate future ones. We are currently working on developing a line of flame-retardant thermoplastic resins to complement our existing product lines. Customers looking for resins by the truckload know that we are their best source."

As its 37th year in business progresses, the Plastics Group of America will continue to focus on backing their exceptional product lines with equally exceptional service.
