Duane Delaney joined The Plastics Group in 2000 as Technical Manager. Customers find that they can draw on his insights gained from over 20 years of experience in sheet extrusion, compounding, and molded products. This real-world knowledge is backed by a degree from Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh, where he majored in Chemical Engineering with a concentration in polymers.
Duane helps TPG customers solve technical issues wherever in the world they may be. In his Woonsocket lab he responds to specific customer requests by matching the application to the right TPG product, or by developing tailored formulations. He also travels far and wide assisting customers with processing or with their overall system design. Customers stay with TPG to gain the benefit of his experience and insight.
When Duane isn’t in the lab or on the road, he enjoys being with his two boys, Chris, 14, and Brian, 11. With whatever time is left, Duane enjoys gardening, a day at the beach, and downhill skateboarding. He also sneaks in work on the world’s fastest gravity racing vehicles, which he wisely chooses not to drive himself.
